With an experienced and dedicated faculty, the school serves over 300 students and is active in supporting Waldorf education in the northwest. It is located on a beautiful seven acre site featuring two creeks and a historic brick school building in Milwaukie, Oregon.
Pre-Kindergarten Teacher- September 2014
Portland Waldorf School, located just outside Portland, Oregon, is looking for a Pre-Kindergarten Teacher for September 2014. The class will serve three and four year olds with a 2, 3 & 5 day option. The ideal candidate will have Waldorf training and Waldorf teaching experience. We are looking for an individual dedicated to Waldorf education, who works collaboratively with colleagues and has a warm enthusiasm for the families and children. Public speaking and computer skills are also desirable.
The Portland Waldorf School was founded in 1982. We serve 315 students in Early Childhood through 12th grade on a beautiful seven- acre campus. We offer a full Waldorf curriculum including visual arts, music, eurythmy, handwork, woodwork, applied arts, drama, outdoor education, Spanish, German, PE, and grounds work, as well as a middle and high school athletics program. Our school also supports students with a full time remedial support teacher.
The Portland Waldorf School is fully accredited through AWSNA and the National Council for Private Schools of North America. Portland is a city with a thriving Anthroposophical community including several schools, a medical clinic, a teacher training program and a branch of the Anthroposophical Society.
