We welcome students whose caregivers desire a Waldorf education for their child, and those who will bring diversity and richness to their peer group. We accept students with varied learning styles and abilities, and we will confirm we are able to meet their needs before admission.

Application Process

1. Get to Know Us

Attend an event, schedule a tour, or talk on the phone with our Admissions Office. You can also email our Admissions Office here.

2. Create an Account and Submit an Inquiry Form

Create an account on our Admissions Portal and submit an inquiry here.

Once you submit an inquiry, our Admissions Team will get in touch to let you know if there are spaces available in the grade(s) you are applying for.

3. Submit Application, Transcript, and Required Materials

If there is space available in your class of interest, our Admissions Team will direct you to complete an Online Application. There is a nonrefundable $75 fee per student to apply. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, as space allows. 

If your family will be seeking tuition assistance please visit our Tuition Adjustment page and begin that process now. That way, you will hear back about both applications in a timely manner.

Via the "Checklist" in "Admissions Progress" in your online portal account, access the following to complete the application requirements:

    1. Completed application

    2. Teacher Evaluation Form (if applicable)

    3. Any assessments or support documents (IEP, 504, Speech, OT, etc) if applicable

4. Interview and Shadow Day(s)

After we have received your completed application and necessary materials, we will contact you to discuss the next steps in the admission process, which could include an interview and shadow day(s) (for applicants in grades 1-12).

5. Notice of Acceptance

We will contact you with an admissions decision within one week. If you are applying for tuition adjustment, see the deadlines and information found on our Tuition Adjustment page: portlandwaldorf.org/tuition-adjustment.

6. Sign Your Enrollment Agreement

Once you’ve been offered admission, you will be asked to sign an enrollment agreement and pay a nonrefundable deposit to ensure your student’s spot. If you are applying for Tuition Adjustment, please make sure your TA application is complete before you sign your enrollment agreement.
