Gifts to Annual Giving are fully tax-deductible and gratefully accepted throughout the year. The PWS fiscal year lasts from July 1 to June 30. With last year’s Annual Giving campaign, we celebrated our school’s 25th anniversary. We were reminded of the quieter, less visible, but very tangible improvements to our school made possible by generous financial contributions to Annual Giving.

Notably, PWS
• Committed to a small, but important pension program for full time faculty – helping to attract and retain our most valued resource.
• Hired a remedial education teacher for the lower school and a student assistant to the high school, to bring information and resources for parents whose children are experiencing learning or social challenges.
• Strengthened our music and applied arts programs – few schools anywhere can demonstrate the depth and breadth of our renowned music and applied arts teachers’ experience and expertise.
• Built our athletics and high school activities programs – earning PWS the Oregon School Activities Association’s highest honor, the Oregonian Cup, recognizing “combined excellence in academics, activities, athletics and sportsmanship.”

Annual Giving, Auction and other fundraising dollars enable these things to happen, stretching tuition income to meet our commitment to tuition assistance without compromising quality and breadth.
