In our mailings this year we included a visual for the 2011/12 Annual Appeal which is included below. Your support through the building blocks of Tuition and Fees, the Annual Appeal, and other Fundraisers are the foundation for the building blocks of our school, our future, and most important, our students. This visual of building blocks extends beyond the financial support of the school.

We rely on the building blocks of our past – our experience and learnings, our roots in the Waldorf movement, and our buildings and grounds – as a foundation to build upon. This is especially pertinent as we prepare for two special anniversaries – the 30^th Anniversary of our school, and the 10^th Anniversary of our move to our permanent home in Milwaukie.

We are building towards the future with the 2011-2016 Strategic Plan. This Plan lays the foundation blocks for initiatives that will help us achieve our goals and objectives for the next five years. 

As we honor the past and lay the groundwork for our future, we also need to take care of the present. That is why the Annual Appeal is so important. It is one of the building blocks of the foundation for our school, teachers and students. The Annual Appeal gifts to Portland Waldorf School will be spent in the 2011/12 fiscal year. These gifts directly impact the experience of our children now. Your gifts to the Annual Appeal affect our classrooms and teachers, tuition assistance, and contribute to the maintenance of our buildings and grounds. They truly lay the foundation for our future.
