Join us for our Senior Class of 2025 performance of Lost in Yonkers, by Neil Simon!
Lost in Yonkers is a Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning play that centers around two brothers, Arty and Jay, who are sent to live with their stern grandmother and eccentric aunt while their father travels and works to pay off his debts.
The play is in two acts, the first of which is appropriate for all ages, with the second act suited for grades 7 and above. Get your tickets here ($12 adults, $3 students). This event always sells out!
Performances take place at the Chapel Theatre, located at 4107 SE Harrison Street in Milwaukie.
About the Senior Play
Each year our seniors culminate their year and time as a class by taking on the creation of a play. We choose to conclude the high school experience by sharing in an artistic and social endeavor as a way to continue to stretch our students and support their striving to continue to understand themselves and each other in deeper and more expansive ways.
That stretching ranges from taking on unexpected roles and surprising us all, pulling together in new ways and supporting each other both on stage and behind the scenes. Working in the dramatic arts brings many opportunities for self and group development that are both challenging and rich, and our students continually rise to the occasion.
Immediately following the senior play performances, the class turns their attention inwards as they embark on their final outdoor trip and Solo Sit. For the Solo Sit, students spend two days on their own in the wilderness, in a safe and supported way.
After the Solo Sit, students return for senior week and graduation. It is a full and remarkable time!
